A Texys RPD product story

Texys RPD introduce a new 23% Glass Filled Nylon12 to the market to compliment the existing 20% and 30% variants currently available.

Texys RPD has introduced 23% Glass Filled Nylon12 to the market to compliment the existing 20% and 30% variants currently available.

Using proprietary glass beads the company has developed this new blend to align with specifications for connectors.

This new variant is 23% glass beads by volume (44% by weight) and has a specific gravity of approximately 1.32g/cm.

The fillers for all these variants are glass beads and not fibre.

They therefore primarily increase the stiffness but not the strength of the parts produced.

Bryan Hurst the Managing Director of Texys RPD has been prototyping since 1994 and helped to introduce SLS into the UK as one of the founders and Director of Amsys RPandT Limited.

Prior to working in prototyping Bryan worked in the machine tool and glass industries.

Texys RPD offers prototyping services including in-house SLS, SLA, vacuum, RIM and metal casting together with conventional and CNC machining.

The main objective of the company, set up by Bryan and David Hurst, is to provide quality prototyping at affordable prices.

Bryan explains, "We are a family run company focussed on our customers".

"Whatever they ask for we will deliver, as promised".

"We are all about providing quality products and services".

Bryan sums up the company and its ethos "Enthusiasm and commitment to deliver what the customer wants and on our promises, with consistent excellence, is the focus as Texys RPD flies the flag of quality prototyping and quality service".
