IR thermometers calibrated for colder applications

A TMS Europe product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 10, 2004

TMS Europe now offers UKAS calibration of infra-red thermometers all the way down to -30C (and all the way up to +1600C).

The latest addition to the UKAS schedule at TMS Europe's UKAS laboratory is the ability to check infra-red thermometers between the range -30 to +1600C.

The low end is very significant for engineers involved in food and cold storage applications which until now have found it difficult to have their instruments calibrated at the critical temperature of -18C.

This is a significant step for the laboratory in that as far as the company is aware no other UKAS lab outside the NPL can offer calibration of IR thermometers at such a low temperature.

TMS is also able to offer infra-red calibration with or without UKAS certificates.
