Brecoflex BAT and BATK polyurethane timing belts feature a curved arc tooth profile with improved tooth shear strength characteristics for higher efficiency and optimised force transmission.

Brecoflex BAT and BATK polyurethane timing belts feature a curved arc tooth profile with improved tooth shear strength characteristics for higher efficiency and optimised force transmission The curved arc tooth profile is completely self-guiding using only flangeless pulleys for quieter operation and with a lower polygonal effect than straight tooth belt systems, has low vibration - making the range suitable for demanding power transmission applications where high force, a wide safety margin and low noise and are important design considerations

In addition to the field proven 10mm pitch version, a new 15mm pitch belt is now available with a complete range of truly endless, spliced and welded, and open ended versions that offer higher load and stress factors for demanding applications such as positioning systems and high throughput machinery for paper, textiles, print, and converting.

The K version features a central tracking guide for applications requiring additional alignment support.

Both BAT15 and BATK15 are available standard widths of 50, 75 and 100mm in a range of materials and facings to suit specific applications requirements.

All Brecoflex timing belts are reinforced with bifilar S- and Z-wound multiple steel tension cords arranged in groups and twisted in opposing directions.

As opposed to other belt systems that use only single wire tension members, the Brecoflex system significantly reduces lateral reaction forces and minimises belt run off for increased life and reduced noise.

The use of multiple steel tension members also allows the polyurethane to fully penetrate the cords and is a major contributor to the superior bonding of the belt ends in the joining process.

Breco belts and belting products are available exclusively in the UK from Transmission Developments, the mechanical power transmission specialist based in Poole, Dorset.
