Using the 545 a comprehensive survey of light intensities may be conducted throughout a public, commercial or industrial building, recording both measurements and times at which the measurements were taken.
The 545 makes timed mean calculations via a maximum of 99 measurement points.
The identification of light values by location allows the rapid identification of areas with insufficient light, so that remedial work can be planned and executed.
Up to 99 locations can be selected, and the data collected can be printed out using Testo's infra-red linked printer on location, or stored for further analysis with Windows based software on a PC.
The logger function stores up to 3000 measured values, allowing a comprehensive examination of the light provision in a commercial building.
The 545 uses a silicon photodiode to measure a range from 0 to 32,000 Lux in 1 Lux increments, and can be switched to a range of 0 to 100,000 Lux in increments of 10 Lux if desired.
Using specially designed software on a PC, separately saved luminous intensity values can be connected to form a curve.
This results in a "light profile", which can provide information as to the uniformity of lighting in areas such as production lines, emergency treatment areas, studios, halls and galleries, and can pinpoint any areas where the relevant required light intensities are not being met.
