The ultra long life performance of X-Lambda results from the introduction of an oil impregnated felt seal between the inner and outer link plates of the chain.
This new sealing technique builds on the already outstanding life performance of the Lambda range to increase the wear-resistance of X-Lambda by more than five times when compared to previous generations of the chain.
Moreover, when compared with conventionally sealed "O" ring chain, the working life of X-Lambda is ten times or more great without a significant loss of transmission efficiency.
The unique design of X-Lambda also features specially sintered, oil-impregnated bushings, coated pins and extra durable rollers.
The durable rollers facilitate super smooth engagement on the sprocket for longer periods of time, resulting in reduced wear.
Added to this, the smooth articulation of chain and sprocket reduces power transmission losses by a high order.
In common with all chains in Tsubaki's Lambda range, X-Lambda is notable for its minimal elongation performance.
This reduces maintenance costs, by obviating the need for frequent chain positioning and adjustments, and also saves on the costs incurred by replacing chains - and sprockets - frequently.
X-Lambda is ideal for installations in clean environments, such as food processing, packaging, printing, pharmaceuticals and textiles.
However, the chain's innovative felt seal also provides an effective barrier against the penetration of dust, thereby extending its installation and cost saving possibilities.
