Double diaphragm pump eliminates fluctuations
The smooth power of an ARO 3" double diaphragm pump, from Thomas Wright Thorite Group is assisting in the manufacture of high quality vitreous china sanitary ware at Heritage J Ceramics
This enables direct coupling of the drive and compression units, which in turn means there are no energy-wasting transmission losses.
These features reduce electrical consumption, noise levels and maintenance requirements.
Thomas Wright engineers carried out a ten-day data logging operation at Hallmark prior to the installation, which monitored patterns of air consumption and cyclic use.
Results were then analysed, which enabled the most efficient compressor choice to be identified as the HPC direct drive model.
Steve Parker, Hallmark's Engineering Manager is delighted with the machine's performance and said: "The HPC compressor is providing increased compressed air capacity with low running costs.
The HPC's output copes with our general pneumatic needs, of which a large part is taken by machinery in our foiling and embossing departments.
Thomas Wright Thorite Group have provided excellent service throughout the selection, installation and commissioning processes and one of their engineers visits us each month to carry out regular health checks".
