Cycle ride raises six grand for charity
Steve Wright, Managing Director of Thomas Wright Thorite Group, was one of 11 CEOs and MDs to recently take part in a coast to coast fund raising event.
Steve Wright, Managing Director of compressed air components and systems specialist Thomas Wright Thorite Group, was one of 11 CEOs and MDs to recently take part in a coast to coast fund raising event The business leaders cycled over 140 miles in 3 days, on a punishing trans-Pennine route which began in Whitehaven and finished with a traditional wheel dip in the sea at Tynemouth
Almost GBP 6000 was raised for Sport Relief, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged young people through sporting projects.
Commenting on the event, Wright said: "This has been a tremendous achievement for all involved.
I'll never forget reaching over 2000ft after a morning's hard cycling, then descending five miles in just seven minutes".
All 11 riders are members of TEC International, a forum which aims to accelerate the business, professional and personal development of its members.
