A Thorite product story

Two service department staff at Thorite have been awarded the British Compressed Air Society's Certificate in Compressed Air Technology.

Two service department staff at leading compressed air and fluid process systems specialist, Thorite, have been awarded the British Compressed Air Society's (BCAS) Certificate in Compressed Air Technology.

Laura Jubb has been Thorite's Service Department Administrator for the past six years and Tracy Meskaldji has two years experience as her assistant at the company's Bradford head office.

Both Jubb and Meskaldji were keen to increase their knowledge of the principles of compressed air production and applications, as well as learning more about the components which constitute a compressed air system, in order to better understand their customers' requirements.

The BCAS certificates were gained by an e-learning course over a five week period of intensive study.

Jubb and Meskaldji found it challenging to combine the demands of the busy service department with the time required for their studies, but both are delighted with the outcome.

Thorite's service department customers have benefited from Jubb and Meskaldji's increased knowledge too, as they can now immediately understand any problems that may be described to them - and discuss them with the company's service engineers.

The Certificate in Compressed Air Technology represents the equivalent of a Level 2 award within the National Qualifications framework.
