Thompson manages national distribution

Thorite has appointed Kevin Thompson as Warehouse Manager at its Bradford-based National Distribution Centre.

Compressed air and fluid process systems specialist Thorite has appointed Kevin Thompson (45) as Warehouse Manager at its Bradford-based National Distribution Centre (NDC).

Thompson's appointment will see him taking full responsibility for the NDC, which boasts state-of-the-art computer controlled stocking/retrieval carousels, installed last year as part of a major Thorite investment programme.

Thompson will also be responsible for the NDC's staff, with regard to their working practices, Health and Safety legislation etc, as well as making sure that Thorite's customer promise, to deliver stocked items the day after being ordered, is maintained.

Thompson's new appointment is certain to belie the fact that he comes from Idle, Bradford, as the NDC is constantly busy, despatching pneumatic and fluid process equipment and accessories throughout the UK.

When not at work Thompson, who is married with two children, pursues a variety of leisure interests, ranging from rock music to DIY and motorcycles to computing.
