A new magnetic-drive vane pump with all nonmetallic wet surfaces will be introduced at Achema Frankfurt.

A new magnetic-drive vane pump with all nonmetallic wet surfaces is to be introduced at Achema Frankfurt by Tuthill Pump Group (Hall 9, Stand 27) Pulsation-free, it is designed for applications employing sensitive equipment, such as flow meters, that have budget limitations

It is ideal for food, medical and aerospace applications.

The pump, which is FDA and USDA compliant, is manufactured in PPS (polyphenylenesulphide) with a ceramic shaft.

This gives it both excellent chemical resistance and a wideband temperature tolerance (-40 to +66C).

These features are complemented by the pump's inherent leak-free characteristic.

Performance characteristics include an operating pressure of up to 4bar(g) with system pressures up to 5.5bar(g), and a flow rate of up to 3.5 litre/min.

Life expectancy is better than 10,000 hours.

Suitable for use with different types of motors (AC, DC and brushless), the new pump's accuracy can be tailored to match application requirements.
