Turck Foundation Fieldbus cables are the first of their kind to be rated for Open Wiring.

Turck Foundation Fieldbus cables are now rated for Open Wiring.

Turck is currently the only manufacturer that has obtained this rating.

This rating applies to the standard 490 and 496 cables which meet the specifications for fieldbus Type A physical media as defined by IEC1158-2 and ISA-S50.02.

Type ITC cable, or Instrumentation Tray Cable, provides a cost effective alternative for installation of transmitters in the field.

The standard cables, with just a PVC jacket can now be installed as open wiring up to 15m.

This type of open wiring installation is typically reserved for cables with metal clad (MC) armour.

The quality construction of the standard cables meets the crush and impact resistance of UL2250 open wiring, with no need for conduit, armour cable, struts, angles or channels.

This new rating provides the ultimate simplicity of connecting field instruments.
