Cordsets don armour for industrial protection

A Turck product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 4, 2006

Armoured cordsets provide protection against abrasion, cuts, water, oil and impact, and are excellent for use in automotive, stamping plants and welding environments.

Turck's new armoured M12 eurofast cordsets provide protection against abrasion, cuts, water, oil and impact, and are excellent for use in automotive, stamping plants and welding environments.

The cordsets meet open wiring specifications allowing their use in place of conduit, thereby reducing the extensive labour, wire-pulling, cutting, bending and moisture problems associated with conduit.

Armoured eurofast cordsets use rugged PVC-jacketed cable with interlocking aluminium armour that is ITC/PLTC (instrumentation tray cable) rated.

Turck's patented armour connection to the coupling nut also facilitates the grounding of the connection.

Cable connectors provide IEC IP68 protection, and are rated for 250V AC/DC and 4A.

The armoured eurofast line provides three-, four- and five-wire options, with 18 and 22 AWG.

Like most Turck cordsets, the armoured eurofast line offers male or female, straight connectors, standard and custom lengths, and pigtails or extensions.

To make the system complete, fully encapsulated mating receptacles with front and rear mount threads are also available.
