Rugged encoders resist moisture and
vibration
Safety-Lockplus technology includes interlocking bearings on the flange and a mechanically protected shaft seal to protect the encoder from external debris during installation.
Turck has released Sendix encoders with 12bit analogue and 14bit CANopen outputs designed for applications requiring rugged, high-resolution encoders Die-cast housings, resistance to humidity and condensation and an IP69k protection rating make these encoders suitable for outdoor use

Closure caps protect during washdown
Eurofast closure caps are a novel way to protect unused ports on junction boxes or cordsets for applications such as washdown, food, chemical and pharmaceutical processing.
The Kubler by Turck single-turn magnetic absolute encoders use Sensor-Protect technology to deliver fully encapsulated electronics and separated mechanical assembly, providing a high resistance to shock (rated to 500G) and vibration (rated to 30G).
The encoders are assembled using Safety-Lockplus technology.
This technology uses interlocking bearings on the flange and a mechanically protected shaft seal to protect the encoder from external debris during installation.
These features, combined with an operating range of -40 to +85C and the noncontact nature of the devices, help ensure the encoders' resistance to wear.
The encoders come equipped with an LED to help ease installation and simplify diagnostics, as well as an integral cable or M12 connector.
Since the encoders' diameter is only 36mm, they may also be applied in space restrictive locations.
Sendix encoders for CANopen networks may be programmed via the bus for node address, baud rate and termination, delivering fast, error-free start-up.
This also allows users to obtain position or speed data in real time.
Other parameters such as scale factors, preset values and limit switch values may also be programmed via the bus.
