Turck has introduced the PT4400 pressure sensor, which is suitable for intrinsically safe locations.

This series uses a media-isolated stainless steel diaphragm for use in pneumatics, water management, hydrogen storage, hydraulic systems, oil and gas, HVAC/R and industrial OEM equipment.

The PT4400 is rated for UL/cUL 913 (CSA 157) Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D when installed with an approved barrier, such as a Turck IM33 module.

These sensors are made without welds or o-rings and allow exceptional pressure ranges up to 10,000psi and burst pressure ranges up to 20,000psi.

PT4400 sensors are manufactured using MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems) technology.

The PT4400 features a one-piece sensing design.

It offers many advantages over other pressure-sensing technologies, including a high life cycle, high overload and burst pressure cycles.
