TUV Product Service will demonstrate testing services embracing EMC and environmental requirements, including HALT, nuclear survivability and lightning in addition to vibration, shock, climatic, along with sand and dust ingress.
Since last year's expo, TUV Product Service has commissioned an independent survey of contractors to the aerospace industry and has subsequently invested in equipment, people and processes to address market demand for flexible, single-source, fast-track testing services.
The protection of products against the physical stresses, characteristic of the actual operating environment, rather than adhering to available standards, leads to a more effective testing regime.
This is particularly the case where simulation of the real operating environment may not be an easy task, and recourse to expert services may be necessary.
By seeking specialist expertise in specifying the required test regime and identifying test limits, aerospace manufacturers will adopt the most reliable route to proving a product fit for purpose.
As well as being the only test house to offer the complete range of aerospace testing requirements in-house, TUV Product Service has invested in people and processes to deliver a greatly reduced turnaround on testing and report generation.
In terms of equipment, TUV Product Service has installed a Ling Systems 964 shaker and DPA 130K amplifier, coupled to an HBT 1500-7 bearing slip table.
This investment has doubled the company's capacity for applications demanding up to 89kN thrust, to substantially improve the commercial options available to the aerospace industry.
On-stand, TUV Product Service UK will demonstrate a global service delivered from over 50 offices worldwide, and providing unique support for multinational aerospace projects.
Services designed to help aerospace contractors reduce their time to market and gain competitive edge include initial design guidance, test plan preparation, bid preparation, research and development, and project management.
Quality systems registration services provide guidance on ISO9000 and AS9100 certification processes.
By providing expertise at every level of the development process within long-term partnerships, TUV Product Service helps aerospace contractors to adhere to project deadlines, with right-first-time products meeting specified standards, and within budget.
