The 16th International Rheinland Award for Environmental Protection has been awarded to Prof Dr Joachim Luther, Head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Technology.
The 16th International Rheinland Award for Environmental Protection has been awarded to Prof Dr Joachim Luther, Head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Technology, and Physics Professor at the University of Freiburg (Germany) The internationally recognised solar energy expert has received the award for his outstanding, practically oriented research in solar energy technology as a modern energy source, and for his dedication to his work as head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Technology

TUV Rheinland Group has awarded the International Rheinland Award for Environmental Protection including a Eur 25,000 grant since 1974.
A panel of 11 jurors from business, science, and politics chose Prof Luther from an international circle of candidates.
