TWI has made its "Job knowledge for welders" articles available free of charge on its website.

The "Job knowledge for welders" series is popular among welders, welding supervisors, quality control inspectors and engineers, as well as welding technology instructors and their students.

Around 60 illustrated, highly informative articles are now easily accessed.

Subjects include MMA, MIG, TIG, plasma, submerged arc and gas welding; thermal cutting and gouging; weld defects; weldability of ferrous and nonferrous metals; distortion control; welding standards; and health and safety.

"Job knowledge for welders" articles emphasise best practice, and although they have a practical bias and are easy to understand, important background and essential theory are also covered.

Free, additional technical information on a broad range of welding and joining-related subjects, covering all engineering materials, can be accessed by registered users of TWI's website.

Registration is free of charge and available immediately after completing a simple, on-screen form.
