Servo gearheads offer the lowest
backlash
High efficiency, high torque capacity and the lowest backlash in the industry are offered by the series P and E planetary in-line gearheads developed by David Brown Engineering.
High efficiency, high torque capacity and the lowest backlash in the industry are offered by the series P and E planetary in-line gearheads developed by David Brown Engineering Designed to save space while providing quiet, accurate advanced positioning performance, Series P and E planetary in-line gearheads are characterised by tough, compact yet lightweight cube housings that incorporate precision bearings and precision-honed planetary gearing to deliver exact ratios from 3:1 through to 64:1

Screw jacks aid expansion at BMW
The installation of new Benzlers screw jacks at BMW's plant at Regensburg, Bavaria has helped increase production of the BMW 3 Series and has ended a maintenance problem.
Series P offers exact ratios from 3:1 through 40:1 with backlash less than 3 arc minutes, low noise as low as 58dB(A), and an output torque up to 1,800Nm.
Exact ratios from 3:1 through to 64:1 are available with the series E, along with backlash less than 8arc-minutes, low noise down to 55dB(A), and an output torque up to 800Nm.
For simple and rapid installation, an integrated input flange mounts directly onto the servo motor, while the hollow input shaft neatly accepts the motor shaft and clamps to provide zero backlash connection.
Application engineers from David Brown can advise on specifying backlash, gear ratios and speeds, to aid in designing the ideal servo mechanical drive system for a specific application.
Permanently lubricated with synthetic grease at the factory and with lifetime-sealed housings delivering IP65 protection, both series E and Series P units are maintenance free.
The units are normally readily available, with standard ratios in stock, and a range of motor plates and bushings to fit your servomotor.
