Gearboxes available off the shelf in the UK following a deal struck with distributor that should reduce delivery times to less than 48 hours.
Series G gearboxes from David Brown are available off the shelf in the UK following a deal struck with distributor RMB Group.
The ex-stock range covers key ratios in five sizes offering output torque capacity up to 35kNm.
RMB Group's experience of industrial gearbox repair, breakdown engineering machining and fabrication also gives it the necessary experience to turn around fabricated stools and bed plate adaptors quickly.
The result for many heavy industrial applications is a Series G drop-in replacement that can be delivered in 24 to 48 hours.
At a time when users are facing increases in energy costs, upgrades to modern, highly efficient gearboxes look attractive.
Series G's availability overcomes the previous stumbling block of expensive downtimes.

The Series G helical parallel shaft and bevel helical right angle drive gear units meet the requirements of demanding applications in the medium and heavy-duty sector of the power transmission market.
Modular design technology has reduced manufactured part count to increase availability.
The high specification sealing system ensures increased oil tightness and optimum seal life.
The horizontal split case design makes maintenance easier.
A large diameter output shaft and bearings increase overhung load capacity.
Larger sizes up to 130kNm are available to order.
