ISI Web of Knowledge has been nominated as a Codie Awards finalist in the categories of Best Online Science or Technology Service and Best Content Aggregation Service.

ISI Web of Knowledge is the dynamic, fully integrated multidisciplinary research environment and the world-renowned information solution, offering the most direct route to scholarly discovery.

It is a platform built on a foundation of quality that includes stringent and objective content selection standards, unmatched depth of backfiles and true cited reference searching.

ISI Web of Knowledge supports research conducted at academic, corporate, government, and not-for-profit organisations worldwide.

From a single point of entry, ISI Web of Knowledge integrates journal literature from Web of Science and Current Contents Connect with patent data (Derwent Innovations Index), proceedings information (ISI Proceedings), life sciences literature (Biosis Previews), analytical and evaluation tools (Essential Science Indicators and Journal Citation Reports), bibliographic management resources (EndNote, ProCite, Reference Manager), and evaluated web content.

In addition, ISI Web of Knowledge hosts vital content from CABI Publishing, Inspec and the Food Science and Technology Abstracts.

With more than 1000 nominees this year, "The 20th annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honouring the best of the software, content and education technology industries", said Ken Wasch, SIIA President.

"When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement".

"We are honoured that ISI Web of Knowledge has been named a finalist in two categories", said Keith MacGregor, Executive Vice President of Academic Government Markets, Thomson Scientific.

"ISI Web of Knowledge was developed to provide our customers with an integrated, powerful environment where they could access the highest quality, multidisciplinary content from journals, patents, proceedings, and life sciences literature with Web resources and other scholarly data".

"It is gratifying that our efforts have been recognised by our customers and now the Codie Awards judges".

Sponsored by the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA), the 20th Annual Codie Awards Gala will be held on 25th May 2005 at the Universal Studio Globe Theater in Universal City, California to announce the winners in each category.

Because the outcome is based on the votes from fellow industry executives, the Codie Awards have the distinction of being the only peer recognition programme honouring excellence in the software and information industry.
