Thomson Delphion now offers searching of full-text patent specifications from the German national collection.

Thomson Delphion now offers searching of full-text patent specifications from the German national collection.

With main claims back to 1968, this is the most comprehensive set of German patent data available.

The collection includes applications, granted patents, and utility models.

The integration of German data from Inpadoc with the German national collection data, and the presentation of both on the unique Delphion Integrated View, allows users to see legal status and family data in the same view as they see the text, claims, and other bibliographic information.

The German national collection is also fully integrated into the Delphion workflow including: full text German language searching; integration into the cross-collection searching process; and inclusion in analytical and productivity tool functionality.

In addition, left-hand wildcard searching is supported, making searching for compound words quick and easy.

"The integration of German patent data with the worldwide collections already available on Delphion is important to the German research community.

In addition, same day access to German patents is important to users in highly-competitive fields, including high-tech, pharmaceutical and engineering", said Michael Lipp, Senior Vice President, Industrial Property Markets for Thomson Scientific.

"This makes Delphion the premier source for original patent data, as well as value-added data from the Derwent World Patents Index and leading analytical and productivity tools".

This enhancement to Delphion is another example of the benefits resulting from the Thomson Scientific integration of Delphion and Wila-Derwent into its portfolio of patent products.
