Tyco Flow Control has brought together five of the most respected brands in industrial electrical heat-tracing to offer customers the most extensive range of electrical heat-tracing products

Tyco Flow Control has brought together five of the most respected businesses and brands in industrial electrical heat-tracing to offer customers the most extensive range of electrical heat-tracing products and capabilities available from a single source.

This new specialist business grouping will operate as Tyco Thermal Controls and features the advanced products, technologies and capabilities of Raychem, Pyrotenax, Isopad, T2 and Tracer.

Many different industries require reliable frost protection, process temperature maintenance and accurately controlled heating to minimise costs and deliver greater efficiencies.

Tyco Thermal Controls is dedicated to serving these industries encompassing oil and gas, power utilities, petrochemical, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, steel and many more.

It also provides specific heating solutions to the telecoms, automotive, mass transport and equipment manufacturing sectors.

With its breadth of technologies including constant wattage and self-regulating systems, Tyco Thermal Controls is able to offer the optimum thermal management solution from the simplest through to the most complex installation.

It has fully developed, high performance systems for Pipe Tracing, Surface Heating and Specialty Applications together with effective monitoring and control systems.

The Pipe-tracing systems cover a complete range of applications; from frost protection of water lines in general industrial operations to temperature maintenance up to 800C in process plant (including steam cleanable systems).

The choice of Surface heating cables, jackets and panels meets a broad spectrum of needs for heating or maintaining the temperature of tanks, hoppers and other storage containers, valves, filters and process vessels.

Tyco Thermal Controls has off-the-shelf products for all popular applications requiring temperatures up to 800C and offers design and customised manufacturing of special heaters for irregular shapes.

Among the Specialty application systems already developed are heated Tubing Bundles for small diameter tubes (e.g instrument lines), and also Flexible Heated Hoses with high temperature, pressure and chemical resistance for use on tanker filling lines and the supply of fluid or viscose products to on-line workstations and robotic process devices.

Tyco Thermal Controls offers a complete range of control and monitoring systems from local ambient sensing through to sophisticated management systems for complex multi-circuit installations, which can collect signals at a central control unit and interfaces enable integration into the plant process automation.

As part of the Flow Control Division, Tyco Thermal Controls also has access to the expertise and resources of sister companies in allied sectors including pipes, pipe hangers, valves, coupling, fittings and measuring instruments.

Tyco provides a 'local' technical support service for its customers all around the World, with expertise in a range of disciplines from site preparation to installation, testing and commissioning.

It offers customers a totally flexible approach, providing either just the elements needed to interface with in-house resources or assuming full responsibility for complete turnkey heat-tracing projects from conception to realisation and with the on-going maintenance.
