Tyco Thermal Controls has launched Isopad FHT, a family of constant wattage parallel circuit heating cables designed for hazardous or non-hazardous industrial heat-tracing applications

Tyco Thermal Controls has launched Isopad FHT - a family of constant wattage parallel circuit heating cables designed for industrial heat-tracing applications for hazardous or non-hazardous areas These new highly flexible heating cables carry full ATEX compliant hazardous area system certification and feature a round geometry for enhanced handling characteristics

Isopad FHT heating cables can be cut to length and terminated on-site and are suitable for a wide variety of applications, from frost protection through to process temperature maintenance requiring high power output and/or high temperature exposure.

They can be used to maintain process temperatures up to 200§C and withstand exposure temperatures up to 260C - putting them at the higher end of cut to length products.

As constant wattage parallel circuit heating systems, they provide a constant power output regardless of circuit length and exposure temperatures.

Fully certified to the new ATEX Directive (94/9/EC), for use in hazardous areas, Isopad FHT cables have a fluoropolymer jacket for resistance to corrosive environments.

The round cable geometry allows bending in all directions to give superior handling characteristics during installation on pipework and vessels.

The launch of the Isopad FHT heating cable family is part of a series of new product introductions planned by the company over the coming months.

It joins the extensive range of electric heat-tracing systems and technologies available from Tyco Thermal Controls, designed to 'manage the heat you need' .
