Cable handles higher exposure temperatures
Tyco Thermal Controls has introduced the new Raychem VPL Power-Limiting Heating Cable, developed to operate at higher exposure temperatures and greater power output.
They are designed for the transfer of substances in the types of hostile environment that preclude the use of fixed lines with constant temperature control.
Operationally they deliver significant advantages for processing plants that handle temperature critical materials such as bitumen, heavy oil, gases, wax, rubber, glues, paints, fats and foodstuffs.
Heated hoses can be used to keep media free flowing for processing and attain their optimum properties, ensure uniform quality levels, link mobile components and, in the case of gases, prevent condensation.
Isopad heated hoses are tailored to meet individual customer requirements and working environments, including hazardous area locations.
They are manufactured under stringent quality control at Tyco Thermal Controls' specialist Isopad manufacturing facility in Heidelberg, Germany.
Alistair Wiggins, Business Development Manager at Pirtek commented: "This agreement delivers a mutual benefit.
It provides Pirtek with a totally compatible extension to its industrial hose product offering and gives the market leading Isopad heated hoses exposure to our extensive UK customer base across 86 branches.
The Pirtek website is currently being updated to feature Isopad heated hoses".
