The recent acquisition of Critchley Group, has enabled Tyco Electronics Corporation to create a specialist Cable Identification and Protection Products Group, with two of the most respected international brands and product portfolios in the electrical industry - Raychem and Critchley.
Nick Smith, Division Manager/Identification within Tyco Electronics' new Cable Identification and Protection Products' business unit, describes the new group with Critchley and Raychem as very significant in the development of the business as a whole.
It links the global strength of Raychem interconnection products with Critchley's world-renowned expertise in wire and cable identification systems.
Between them, the operations of these two successful global businesses encompass several large industrial market sectors including: aerospace, defence, rail/mass transit, marine/offshore, automotive, and infrastructure construction.
This puts Tyco Electronics firmly at the forefront in electrical system identification and the customer base of both businesses will benefit from the combined technologies, a significantly enlarged product offering, and local technical support around the world.
In addition to cable identification systems, the product range now offered from these two Tyco Electronics' brands embraces high performance wire and cable, heat-shrinkable tubing and moulded shapes, splice and termination sealing products, specialised connection devices and an extensive range of cable management products.
This wealth of expertise provides the capability for developing total system solutions for many electrical/electronics applications.
