Tyco Electronics' Identification and Labelling Products Group is at Paris Air Show (Hall 2B Stand G14) offering the aerospace industry a comprehensive choice of component, pipe, wire and panel identification products.
Many products are designed for on-site printing and are compatible with the company's advanced WinTotal software, developed to simplify and speed-up the design and production of permanent identification markers whatever the volume or complexity of the requirement.
The markers are available in a wide range of formats including heat-shrinkable sleeves, tapes, labels and tags, and in a choice of materials selected to meet aerospace specifications and the particular operating temperatures and fluid resistance characteristics required for such applications.
Among recent additions to Tyco Electronics' extensive range of identification products for the aerospace industry are: TP Labels - wraparound markers for identification of aircraft pipework.
Pre-printed according to international colour/symbol codes, TP labels are then overprinted by computer to provide specific information (date and batch codes, torque settings, etc).
They provide a one-piece solution to a common requirement at low installed cost.
Polyvinylfluoride (Tedlar) Labels - for the identification of open wire bundles.
Self-extinguishing and lightweight, these computer-printable labels are ideal for service and maintenance applications.
Polyaramid (Nomex) Marker Tags - lightweight, yet very tough, wire computer-printable wire bundle markers with enhanced temperature ratings and resistance to aviation fluids.
Polyvinylfluoride Marker Tags - computer-printable wire bundle markers qualified for space applications.
Polyester Decal Material - designed for computer-based printing, this material provides a low cost alternative to traditional screen printed decals.
Laser Engraved Laminated Polymer Labels and Metal Tags - for identification of components where marker longevity and temperature resistance are paramount.
All the computer printable identification products offered are fully compatible with Tyco's WinTotal software.
This multi-language software package provides a highly visual user interface to simplify training and minimise errors.
It includes the capability to take data directly from wiring schedules and then drive several printers simultaneously.
Each printer can be loaded with a different product format/size.
The software will automatically address the correct printer, thus minimising operator errors and reducing set-up time.
