For wire, cable and optical fibre identification, Tyco Electronics offers everything from traditional self-assemble markers, through computer-printable products, to laser engraving systems

Tyco Electronics has published a capabilities brochure to illustrate the scope of its Critchley, idento and Raychem brand product ranges.

Tyco focuses on identification solutions for harsh industrial environments, and the brochure outlines the many technologies it offers to meet even the most demanding requirements.

For wire, cable and optical fibre identification, Tyco Electronics offers everything from traditional self-assemble markers, through computer-printable products, to laser engraving systems capable of generating high volume, complex marks with extremely high print permanence.

Within the wide choice of product formats are materials designed for use in especially demanding environments and where particular characteristics or properties (e.g low fire hazard) are specified.

The brochure also provides an overview of Tyco Electronics' facilities for label printing.

These range from traditional processes such as silkscreen, flexography, hot foil and letterpress through to high-speed variable data processes including thermal transfer printing and ion deposition.

Combined with advanced materials, special adhesives and on-site computer-based printing systems, these enable the company to offer a complete solution to the needs of manufacturing industry.

This expertise even extends to industrial barcode labels and the production of control panel fascias and membrane switches.

Tyco Electronics has recently added a full Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) 'smart label' capability.
