The TP Tape range of printable, self-laminating labels offers a superior identification system for aircraft pipes, hoses and electrical conduit.

The Tyco Electronics' Identification business unit has introduced the TP Tape range of printable, self-laminating labels, designed to offer a superior identification system for aircraft pipes, hoses and electrical conduit.

It provides the opportunity to print ID information, on demand, onto international colour-coded labels and, by eliminating the need for multiple tape applications or the multiple steps of painting, embossing, etching and varnishing, delivers a substantially lower installed cost.

These high durability labels meet MIL-STD-1247 standards for hydraulic lines, fuel lines, oxygen etc., and have a continuous operating temperature range -40 to +163C.

They are performance tested to RW 2068 - a punishing standard for aggressive fluid and temperature resistance in military and civil aircraft - and will resist exposure to oil, solvents and other fluids commonly used in the aerospace industry.

The range comprises 24 international colour-coded adhesive labels, which meet MIL-STD-595B requirements.

Each has a generously sized printable panel and a crystal-clear wraparound 'tail', which self-laminates the identification data.

By printing all the information on precoded labels, the need for multiple tape applications is eliminated.

Available in a range of sizes to accommodate tube diameters from 4.78mm to over 50.8mm, TP Tape labels can be supplied either as individual diecut labels or in continuous 30.5m lengths held on 63.5mm wide rolls.

They are fully compatible with Tyco's Electronics' proprietary computer software package - a powerful, yet easy to use tool, which enables identification data to be entered manually or downloaded from design databases to single or multiple printers.
