Transfer switch monitors AC signal
In the event of a mains voltage failure of any phase, the remote start relay output is energised and the unit automatically transfers the load from the mains to the generator.
The Crompton Instruments Switch-ATS automatic transfer switch from Tyco Electronics is designed to monitor the incoming AC mains signal for three phase and single-phase applications Microprocessor technology allows exact measurement, set point adjustment and timing functions with the parameters to be simply programmed and displayed from the front panel

Gen-set controllers maintain power continuity
New automatic transfer and switching units for diesel or gas generators offer automatic engine starting, stopping, transfer switching, protection, control and metering of generator sets.
In the event of a mains voltage failure of any phase, the remote start relay output is energised and the unit automatically transfers the load from the mains to the generator.
The switch is designed for use with Crompton Instruments controllers but it can also interface directly with a range of generator control systems.
A 10mm four-digit red LED display clearly shows the mains voltage, alternator voltage and program parameters on the front panel of the Switch-ATS automatic transfer switch.
In addition, several status LED indicators display the current operating status of the device.
Technical details of the product include an operating temperature range from -25 up to +70C, protection class IP65 to front panel and mains and generator voltage accuracy of 31% FS.
The measuring range for mains and generator voltage is 35 up to 300V and a frequency range from 15.6 up to 99.9Hz. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics - Energy Division ...
