Uclid Software congratulates Amy Janczy, the firm's technical writer, for receiving the Distinguished award issued by the Twin Cities Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC).

This award is the STC's highest honour given in recognition for her work on Uclid's IcoMap demonstration program.

Janczy was formally honoured by the STC during a banquet and awards ceremony held yesterday at the Doubletree Park Place Hotel in Minneapolis.

One judge praised Uclid Software for making the program "pleasant and easy to use." Another evaluator declared that the demo is "highly informative and so effective that the product sells itself." The IcoMap demonstration program allows users to explore the features that the IcoMap product suite and add-on modules offer.

It discusses the versatility in their applications, ease-of-use of the software, and advantages over using other techniques or programs.

With this honour, the Uclid demonstration program moves on to the international STC competition to vie for additional marks of distinction.

This award represents another fine achievement by Uclid, a company that has enjoyed many prestigious honours for its revolutionary work in land records modernization technology.

This list includes the 2000 Governor's Best New Product Award for the IcoMap product suite.

About Uclid and the STC: Uclid Software designs technologies and solutions for efficiently transferring paper-based land records into survey-accurate digital files.

The STC is the largest professional organization serving the technical communication profession with over 20,000 members worldwide.
