Aberdeenshire-based UFB has introduced a new concept to buyers and engineers from all industry sectors, including oil, gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage production, to assist them with the selection and sourcing of valves, actuators and associated process control equipment and services.

UFB operates to ISO9002 implemented standards, and specialises in the sourcing and supply of equipment to meet their clients' specific requirements.

Through its ISO9000- and PED-approved partners the company can offer a combination of products and services to meet all process applications.

"Today, more than at any other time in the past, all production industries are seeking ways of increasing output while at the same time reducing costs and we are poised to help them achieve this", says UFB Managing Director, Alan Leonard.

"While other stockists and distributors invest heavily, and we must bear in mind that this capital expenditure has to be recouped from somewhere, we at UFB will remain focused on keeping overheads as low as possible and pass the resultant cost savings on to our clients.

This will be achieved through our association with already well established, recognised and respected organisations", he adds.

Through these associations UFB has access to a large stock holding of all valve types including hygienic equipment and components.

Facilities for actuation, the manufacture and fitting of heating jackets and locking systems as well as valve trim changes including hard facing, alloy overlays and ENP coating are also available.

Modifications to suit cryogenic and arduous service conditions can also be accommodated as can the pressure, low-temperature and functional testing of the completed components.
