Indicator and switch together under pressure

An UK Instruments and Controls product story

The new Ashcroft N-Series electronic indicating pressure switch provides pressure indication and switch functions on one easy-to-use package.

The new Ashcroft N-Series electronic indicating pressure switch provides pressure indication and switch functions on one easy-to-use package.

By observing the values on a big, bright LED display, N-Series users can easily toggle between process pressure, setpoint and reset point.

The 0.5in LED display is much easier to read than common LCDs that are sometimes used for process indication.

When both switching and indication are needed on difficult media, such as raw sewage, polymers and other slurries commonly found in wastewater applications, special instrument isolators are often required as well.

N-Series switches provide a cost-effective alternative to the common approach consisting of a separate switch, gauge and multiple fittings to connect them together.

The result is a compact package with only one connection.

One connection drastically reduces the number of potential leak points.

N-Series switches use the proven Ashcroft K Series thin-film pressure sensor, and a highly reliable circuit board housed in a compact NEMA 4X and IP 66 rated epoxy-coated aluminium enclosure.

Setpoints with adjustable dead band are available for alarm, shutdown and control applications up to 20,000lb/in2.

Ashcroft switches, diaphragm seals and pressure gauges have been designed to work seamlessly together.

Thousands of cost-effective combinations are readily available from UK Instruments and Controls.
