Useful seminars on machine vision coming up
There will be a series of five individual 45 minute seminars, under the banner headline Innovation in Machine Vision, on both days of the UK's IPOT/Machine Vision 2002 show in February
If you'd literally like to see how vision systems can learn to recognise 'organic' objects such as faces, poultry joints or handwriting, or find out more about the latest vision technology, the seminars run by the UK Industrial Vision Association at IPOT/Machine Vision 2002 will be of real interest.
There will be a series of five individual 45 minute seminars, under the banner headline 'Innovation in Machine Vision', on both days of the show.
The seminars cover both hardware and software areas of vision technology and are entitled: 'Emerging Technologies in Vision', 'Latest developments in camera and sensor technology', 'An object recognition tool based on statistical learning theories', 'Challenging linescan applications and real-time pre-processing' and 'Volumetric Measurement'.
Full details of the programme, together with a booking form can be found on the Association's web site, www.ukiva.org, by following the links to "News" and "Programme".
The Association will have its own stand offering face to face access to industry experts for visitors who may be looking for advice on their applications and/or for suppliers.
The stand also acts as a focal point for information, by carrying literature from members who have not been able to attend the exhibition and directing visitors to the stands of the many members who are exhibiting.
The seminars will be offered as five separate sessions, individually priced at £25 +VAT which will be complete in themselves but which can be 'pick and mixed' according to particular needs.
A special rate of £95 +VAT will apply for those who wish to attend all five.
Student rates are £15 + VAT per session or £60 +VAT for all five.
Early booking is advised, as space in the seminar room is limited.
