The theme of UKIVA's seminars, which will be held on Wednesday 4th September, is that machine vision is now an established technology that no longer needs to "borrow" components developed for other applications.
An array of international speakers from the UK, Belgium, Denmark and the USA will cover a variety of topics such as the development of specialised camera technology for machine vision.
Other subjects to be covered will include camera interfacing technology, and illumination systems and lenses developed for especially for machine vision applications.
One day tickets for the conference, including the UKIVA seminars are priced GBP 120 +VAT for members of UKCPO's affiliated organisations.
The UKIVA has recently been accepted as a member organisation, joining the existing members: Association of Industrial Laser Users, Scottish Optoelectronics Association, Welsh Optoelectronics Forum, IoP Quantum Electronics Group, IoP Optical Group, IEE Professional Photonics Network, Fibreoptic Industry Association and IoP Applied Optics Division.
One day tickets for nonmembers are priced GBP 155 + VAT.
Tickets will be available on-line from the Photon02 website, http://physics.iop.org/IOP/photon02, where details of the Industrial Technology Conference programme can also be found.
