The series of popular seminars run annually by the UK Industrial Vision Association at the IPOT and Machine Vision Show continues in 2003 with a packed programme.

The series of popular seminars run annually by the UK Industrial Vision Association at the IPOT and Machine Vision Show continues in 2003 with a packed programme entitled: "How precise can you get with vision?" These seminars will be held in the main exhibition hall, next to the UKIVA stand and will have free admission, although advance reservation is recommended to ensure a place

Association members Alrad Imaging, Firstsight Vision, Industrial Technology Systems, JAI UK, Kane Computing, Multipix Imaging, National Instruments and York Electronics Centre will be giving the seminars.

Seminar titles are as follows: "Virtual instrumentation brings real benefits to computer-based vision systems"; "Image processing software - PC based or dedicated hardware"; "Solving your vision application efficiently and accurately"; "Machine vision for all applications"; "Why frame grabbers are delivering more than the ability to grab an image"; "Why intelligent cameras can do the same task as a full blown PC based vision system"; "Waste not with online measurement and inspection"; and "OCV versus OCR - a comparison of character inspection techniques".
