Association opens up its membership
The UK Industrial Vision Association has introduced a new category of membership specifically for 'not for profit' organisations.
The UK Industrial Vision Association has introduced a new category of membership specifically for 'not for profit' organisations which produce engineers trained in machine vision, carry out collaborative projects with industry in the field of vision or who offer relevant short or long term training opportunities As this particular membership category excludes companies and organisations that offer products or contract development of 'turnkey' systems (who are eligible for standard membership of the association) it is available at a reduced rate

UKIVA Director Don Braggins commented: "The UKIVA has been promoting the use of industrial machine vision technology by manufacturing industry for more than 10 years and we want to further encourage take up of the many opportunities for closer co-operation between academia and industry.
We recognise that tight budgets have restricted opportunities for organisations such university departments to become members, but this new category means they can now enjoy the full benefits of UKIVA membership".
