Industrial vision forums are open to all
The UKIVA is adding two forum sessions to its popular free seminar programme at the IPOT/Machine Vision Show in February 2005 at the NEC.
The seminars provided an excellent mix of information for machine vision.
Subjects included new technology for machine vision, infra-red and thermal imaging, open platform processing, pixel shifting and cooling technology for USB2 cameras, tools for fast solutions to machine vision problems, as well as discussions on IEEE1394b and integrating vision data to improve manufacturing process efficiencies.
UKIVA Director, Don Braggins, commented: "Not only were advanced bookings up by 50%, but the interest shown by visitors over the two days was extremely encouraging".
"Indeed, for one of the seminars it was 'standing room only' and next year we may have to consider increasing the sise of the presentation area".
The association also ran an "open forum" question and answer session during the lunchtime period, from which many people dipped in and out.
