The new members are: Foreshore Solutions, The Fluke Corporation, MVD and Imaging and Machine Vision Europe.

Foreshore Solutions was founded in 2005 to supply consultancy services to several machine vision integrators.

The company supplies custom software and designs optical hardware as well as providing training courses on machine vision optics and lighting.

The company's specialisation is in OCR, barcodes and user interface design, together with the development of specialist algorithms.

Typical application areas include part identification, print verification and part in place and dimensional analysis of machined products.

The Fluke Corporation is an international business providing electronic test tools to customers throughout the world.

The Fluke product portfolio includes a wide range of portable thermal imaging cameras from the low cost entry point models through to high specification units featuring IR-Fusion technology.

Prime uses are for predictive maintenance, electrical system troubleshooting, and inspection in industrial applications such as electrical and electromechanical systems, power quality, industrial processes and building systems.

Founded in mid-2003, MVD is dedicated to supplying state-of-the- art and industry leading components, solutions and services to OEMs, system integrators, educational establishments and end-users within the machine vision, image analysis, medical imaging and video surveillance markets.

Included in the product portfolio are cameras, frame grabbers, software, embedded systems, smart cameras, vision processors, lighting and optics.

Application areas include metrology, brewing, digital X-ray, pharmaceutical packaging, wafer inspection, forensics and licence plate recognition.

Imaging and Machine Vision Europe is a bimonthly magazine published by Europa Science to serve the industrial vision communities in the UK and the rest of Europe.

It is Europe's only dedicated magazine for design and production engineers working in the scientific imaging and machine vision markets and was launched by Europa Science in Autumn 2003.
