Industrial vision forums are open to all
The UKIVA is adding two forum sessions to its popular free seminar programme at the IPOT/Machine Vision Show in February 2005 at the NEC.
UKIVA Director, Don Braggins, said: "UKIVA research members are from academia and are involved in work relevant to industrial use of machine vision".
"Ideas emanating from the academic environment frequently find their way into the commercial world, and so we thought it would be interesting for the vision community at large to hear first hand about research currently in progress, as well as what's available from members right now".
Industrial seminars will be given by UKIVA members Alrad Imaging , Firstsight Vision , FLIR Systems, Framos Electronics, Multipix Imaging and MVD and will cover topics including infra-red camera technology, specialised lighting systems and the emergence of CMOS camera sensors.
The seminar will run on both days of the exhibition, and, as usual, places can be booked in advance online, along with a CD containing all of the presentations.
