UK Solenoid has introduced a new design for the door clutch/interlock mechanism of Size 1 to 3 switches to provide improved IP protection.

UK Solenoid has introduced a new design for the door clutch/interlock mechanism of Size 1 to 3 switches to provide improved IP protection.

As a result of some innovative design changes the door clutch/interlock mechanism now offers IP66/67 protection rather than the IP65 protection of the old design.

The size 0 version remains IP65 although it is planned that a version offering improved protection will be available soon.

Sales Manager Norman Allan comments "The prevention of water or particle ingress is of very high importance in a number of aggressive environments so this development will enable design engineers to specify our products secure in the knowledge that they will provide a very high level of protection".
