The ControlLogix system offers a superior approach to multiple types of control.
It can perform sequential, process, drive or motion control - in any combination - all in a single system.
Engineering productivity is increased through such tools as advanced diagnostics and symbolic programming, whilst the investment in ControlLogix is 'future-proofed' with such features as Flash-upgradable firmware.
Communications is the key to this powerful control system.
Bottlenecks are eliminated because the ControlLogix passive databus takes advantage of producer/consumer network technology to provide a high performance, deterministic and distributed control solution.
Within a chassis, a flexible architecture permits multiple processors, networks and I/O to be mixed without restrictions and, as a system grows, ControlNet provides the link to distributing control to additional chassis.
The ControlLogix approach meets the demand for increased communications, supporting open networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet and DeviceNet networks.
The Logix5550 controller sets a new standard for control processors and, together with the RSLogix5000 software package, provides all the required power in an easy-to-use environment.
This is the only programming software that's needed to perform sequential, process, drive or motion control programming.
Whether the need is for an upgrade to an existing control system or a completely new system, a ControlLogix solution minimises engineering costs.
For upgrades, the RSLogix5000 software has the ability to translate many industry standard PLC-5 and SLC programs for use with the Logix5550 controller.
