United Oil Products U.5032 open gear lubricant is designed for use in the more primitive applications where an enclosed or continuous feed lubricant is impractical Open gear lubricant is based on a nonmelting bentone grease compounded with viscous oils, into which micronised molybdenum disulphide is blended together with graphite and additives to provide anticorrosion properties and stability under extreme pressure

It forms an extremely tenacious film which will retain its properties on irregular or rough formed working surfaces, and its ability to retain those properties when applied very thinly means a minimum of mess around the mechanism in question.

It is particularly resistant to wet, dirty, saline or chemically affected environments, and works best on slow-moving heavily loaded components., especially those which are required to operate for long periods in hostile conditions.

This it will do in temperatures ranging from -30C to well over +200C, which covers the great majority of industrial transport applications.

Recommended for fifth wheel couplings, roller assemblies on skip loaders and demount bulk containers, winches and cables on recovery or plant hire vehicles, chain drives, refuse vehicle crushing mechanisms, leaf springs which need a lubricant, and any job where basic lubrication is needed in an environment open to dirt, dust or water.
