Update Manufacturing has developed a novel torque tester using a fully digital and embedded software system.

The tester is ideal for setting and calibration of torque tools either manual or powered tools.

With torque sensors produced in house, these units are most competitively priced for testers in its range.

It has a large graphics LCD with setup menu for various functions as well as built-in memory.

The units come with Windows-based software to download the test values into personal computers.

A total of 90 memory locations can be stored in the unit and downloaded to computers for analysis and report.

A total of nine reading units can be adjusted.

The tester has a self-auto-zero function, which can be compensated manually by the user over time if needed.

Other features included auto-reset, go/no-go (pass/fail) mode, peak hold, first peak, track readings etc.

These units are carefully calibrated using software setup, so that no electronic or mechanical adjustment is required.

The units have a high data accuracy of 0.2% and the decimal readings can be shifted to match the accuracy of the tools being tested.

It can be used with power tools using a rundown adapter, which is provided in various formats to match the working environment.

The casing of the tester is machined from a solid block of aluminium.

The rechargeable battery allows many hours of uninterrupted use on the production line.

Models are available with measurement ranges up to 5, 10, 30 and 50kgcm.

Self-calibration instruments are also available such as torque balance arms, weight sets, etc.

Each unit comes standard with a battery charger, rundown adapter with spring, memory download software, communication cable, and a strong aluminium carrying case.
