The University of Sheffield's Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering is offering a series of short courses at master's level.

The University of Sheffield's Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering is offering a series of short courses at master's level intended for engineers working in industry to deepen and broaden their understanding of the field.

The department has strong industrial links and a reputation for excellence in both teaching and research.

Courses on offer this year include: state-space control, nonlinear and optimal control, signal processing estimation and image processing, introduction to numerical optimisation, robust control for single-input single-output systems, robust control for multivariable systems, modern search methods, adaptive and self-tuning control, systems reliability and risk assessment, predictive control, fault detection and diagnosis, an introduction to neural networks, active noise and vibration control, robotics and vision, fuzzy logic modelling and control, and an introduction to predictive control.
