At only $399, this budget CAD package includes features normally only found in far more expensive products.
VariCAD 8.1 is a compact CAD package with many powerful tools for 3D modelling and 2D drafting, libraries of mechanical parts, surface development (unbending), calculations of standard mechanical components, tools for working with nongraphical information (BOM), and many others.
All these are included in this fully loaded version 8.1.
VariCAD 8.1 can also import and export common CAD file types such as DWG, DXF, and IGES.
The company reckons its low price of $399 makes this CAD package one of the smartest choices on the market today.
