Varicad has released a new version of its 3D/2D mechanical CAD system The new VariCAD 2008 includes many new features and useful improvements, such as support for 3D threads (threads at bolts, screws and nuts, including library parts; threaded holes etc), improvements in shells and surface development, new 3D kernel capabilities (eg Boolean intersection and an improved 3D chamfer tool), a new tool for spherical solids, new BOM and title blocks features, and more
