Renshape Solutions, part of Huntsman Advanced Materials, has won the Frost and Sullivan Award for Performance Materials Technology of the Year.
Renshape Solutions, part of Huntsman Advanced Materials, has won the Frost and Sullivan Award for Performance Materials Technology of the Year.
The award was presented to Paul Hulme, President of Huntsman Advanced Materials, in Frankfurt, Germany, on 30 November 2005.
The award is presented to a company that has introduced a technology that has brought innovative capabilities, influence and strategic impact to several markets.
It is judged by a panel of international experts against six criteria including the adoption by, and impact of, the new technology on global industries, the company's ability to deliver this new technology to the market and market share growth achieved as a result.
Huntsman Advanced Materials offers a range of rapid tooling materials and technologies to manufacturing industries, including: stereolithography materials; seamless modelling paste; modelling and styling boards; tooling boards; prototyping materials; gelcoats; laminating systems; casting systems; and resin infusion.
Hariharan Ramasubramanian, Senior Analyst for the performance materials group, said: "Intense product and technology development from Huntsman's Renshape range has seen the usage of synthetic tooling penetrate into new applications".
Paul Hulme of Huntsman Advanced Materials said: "To receive the award is a tremendous honour".
"It is recognised throughout the world as acknowledging true innovation in our field and delivering real benefits to our customers in the world's manufacturing industries".
