ECT is the newest addition to Huntsman's European distributor network.
Focusing solely on selling to the Irish engineering adhesives market, ECT will supply Huntsman's Araldite 2000 range to high-tech, high performance assembly industries offering support and customer service as standard.
ECT will work in parallel to Evode Industries, a Bostik company, which is Huntsman's established Irish distributor to the hardware sector.
Evode Industries has been the appointed distributor of Araldite adhesives in Ireland since 1998.
It offers the full range of quality Araldite Do-It-Yourself (DIY) products to the consumer market via builders' merchants and retail outlets including hardware and home improvement stores - such as Atlantic Homecare, Woodies DIY, Homevalue Hardware, Arro, Topline and 4Home Superstores.
Jean-Luc Pieau, Global marketing manager for DIY Araldite adhesives said, "We are delighted that two distinct areas of our business, DIY and structural adhesives, are being brought to Irish customers through two separate, reliable sources".
"Industrial and DIY users of Araldite adhesives have very different requirements".
