Araldite 2026 has proved a clear winner for Italian company CEL, who needed a transparent adhesive to bond polycarbonate components in a refrigerated vending machine.
Unlike traditional setting methods such as prongs, where stones are held in place by small silver or gold claws, or bezel settings where metal encircles the entire circumference of the gem, Araldite Cristal eliminates the need for visible settings.
By using Araldite Cristal, designers at Sundrani Fine Jewelry are also able to incorporate drops and ball-shaped gemstones that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to set.
In addition to providing aesthetic benefits, Araldite Cristal is also helping to streamline production with the elimination of labour-intensive manufacturing processes.

Sundrani Fine Jewelry specialises in the sourcing of rare, over-sized and high-quality gemstones and pearls including diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds.
The gemstones are cut and polished to the specification and design of each individual piece before being set in gold or silver.
As a two-component epoxy adhesive, Araldite Cristal is suitable for use in jewelry production.
Fast curing plus water, oil and chemical-resistant, the adhesive provides a crystal clear finish that does not detract from a product's overall finish.
