Celesco position transducers with an intelligent DeviceNet interface are now available from Towcester based Variohm Components Limited.
The DeviceNet intelligent fieldbus interface is a simple, low-cost networking solution that enables ease-of-installation and vastly improved diagnostics.
The transducers detect and measure linear position and velocity using a flexible cable and spring-loaded spool.
A major benefit is that the cable does not have to be perfectly aligned for accurate measurement, making installation fast and simple.
Transducers equipped with DeviceNet allow true plug-and-play installation, eliminating tedious manual wiring and error troubleshooting.
The direct connectivity provides improved communications between devices as well as important device-level diagnostics not easily accessible or available through hardwired I/O interfaces.
